Peplink team will build additional FlexModule or FlexModule Plus as new technologies such as 5G emerge. Simply insert the new FlexModule or FlexModule Plus and the EPX will become 5G ready; no need to purchase a new device.

In its cellular configuration, the EPX is the most powerful wireless SD-WAN router in the industry. It can combine the bandwidth of up to 24 connections*, supporting 48 SIM cards* and providing gigabits of bandwidth on-the-go.

Uninterruptible Power
The EPX is equipped with two power inputs and two hot-swappable power supplies.
Only one of each is needed to function, ensuring continuous power delivery even if a cable gets disconnected or if a power supply drops out for any reason.

SpeedFusion allows users to combine any number of connections together to form a point-to-point link to achieve what others cannot:
Combine the bandwidth of several mobile connections to form an ultra-fast data link. Sustain bandwidth-hungry and latency sensitive tasks without the need for fixed lines.
Hot Failover maintains secure tunnels over all available WAN links to keep the network up and running when a connection drops out. If a WAN link fails, SpeedFusion instantly routes traffic to a working tunnel for uninterrupted VoIP sessions.
SpeedFusion is carrier agnostic and our products are certified with multiple carriers. By combining the coverage network of several mobile carriers, chances of running into a network blindspot or congestion is minimized.
With the help of WAN smoothing network traffic will be assigned to WAN connection with the lowest latency. Use multiple WAN connections to create a single, jitter-free data stream.

Combined Public & Commercial Safety LTE
Equipped with an EPX, mobile headquarters can combine private LTE, commercial LTE & satellite links to form fast and unbreakable VPN connection both to mobile HQ and to patrol vehicles. With this configuration, patrol vehicles benefit from increased cellular coverage. Even if they are outside the range of one cellular provider, they will still be within the range of others.
SD-WAN Backhaul for ISP
Whether providing Internet service with a SLA, or building a video surveillance streaming network, ensuring service continuity is crucial. The EPX enables service providers to build a flexible SD-WAN backhaul to the main network, incorporating as many Ethernet, Fiber, and cellular links as needed to provide fast and solid connectivity.
Cellular Backup for Regional Offices
With its modular architecture, the EPX enables regional offices to add WAN connections of any type as they grow in size. With the ability to add cellular modules, the EPX also provides as much cellular connectivity as needed for the company network to operate at full speed even if land lines lose connectivity.
Work Sites and Events
With the EPX, temporary sites could get connected in minutes. The EPX can combine up to 18 cellular connections for high-definition video streaming and high-volume data transfers. The EPX can also host docker containers, giving you the ability to host your own custom apps onsite to simplify management.
